The movie is loosely based on real-life events. Chemban Vinod plays an Army Havildar on vacation who takes it upon himself to solve certain social issues in his hometown, turning his family life topsy-turvy in the process. Dhanya Balakrishan and Mala Parvathy play the roles of his wife and mother respectively while Jayasurya makes a cameo appearance as a District Collector in the movie.
